As a Principal Software Engineer in the ATPCO organization you are responsible for the implementation, enhancement and maintenance of ATPCO applications and services.
Leads and contributes to the development of technical requirements and other design artifacts. Understands all enterprise architectural strategies and standards and ensures adherence to them in technical solutions.
Promotes successful delivery of customer value across the enterprise through efficient designs, programming techniques and strategies, utilizing innovative techniques where practical.
Leads development and execution of implementation plans and release management processes with all necessary groups.
Ensures all technical & development artifacts are complete and properly managed as required per the SDLC.
Adheres to established ATPCO development standards and spearheads appropriate modifications to improve quality and productivity of the team. Ensures that all team members follow ATPCO standards.
Works independently and collaboratively to ensure delivery of solutions that are high quality, well-written and efficient software.
Formulates high level and detailed estimates for blue sky analyses, high level planning, and impact assessments including clear justification in situations that may involve ambiguous or unclear requirements, including support of other Business Units.
Leads technical areas anticipating and resolving issues to meet team commitments. Able to manage multiple, complex tasks with a focus on delivering quality and timely results. Acts as a technical resource/lead to other applications developers.
Has a broad and thorough understanding of current development techniques, methodologies, tools, and technologies across all areas of application development. Keeps abreast of emerging technologies, tools and proposes/implements feasible solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of solutions delivery at ATPCO.
Leads efforts to integrate design strategies, application specifications, development schedules, and user expectations into the appropriate artifacts. Comfortable working in a fast-paced agile environment.
Provides technical leadership & guidance to cross-functional teams on large-scale development efforts.
Models team qualities, builds team rapport and keeps others informed. Fosters a collaborative environment on the team and can work effectively with others across the organization. Provides technical expertise, guidance and support to product teams on technologies used and components developed.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant technical experience
Minimum qualifications include at least 7+ years software development experience.
Industry, Framework development or ATPCO application experience a plus
Excellent analytical and debugging skills.

Experience with tools such as Jira, Jenkins, Git, Maven, Gradle, Confluence beneficial.
Experience with complex scalable, distributed systems and high-volume transaction applications.
