    We’re looking for a high impact, high energy, martech saavy, marketing leader to drive our events strategy and help bring our brand to life with largest and smallest airlines in the world. You will manage our global customer conference, our third party & owned events strategy, and use technology to define processess for tracking event ROI.

    This is a highly visible role in a super cool industry and  will require you to work closely with key internal stakeholders, executives, customer experience, customer & product marketing, and regional leaders across the globe – as you determine how we leverage events and measure our success as part of our campaign strategy.

    We need a leader obsessed with the customer experience and attitude of getting things done across organizational boundaries, and varying points of view and priorities.

    As the senior event manager, you are a trusted leader, change agent, and the day to day manager of all things events related.

    The successful candidate will be highly skilled at

    -       Vendor/hotel contract negotiations

    -       Developing and overseeing budgets

    -       Supporting sales teams and working with colleagues across product, HR, and finance

    -       Exhibitor/sponsorship management

    -       On-site tradeshow operations

    -       Superb customer service

    -       Trends in event & marketing within the digital ecosystem – particulary the role technology plays in shifting customer expectations and tracking customers thru their event experience

    The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in leading events and sponsorships, with deep understanding in developing and managing a event  strategy and operations. Applicants need to have a flexible can-do attitude, be comfortable with role ambiguity, and initiative to drive proactive change as a leader. Must be situated or relocate to work from the global headquarters located at Dulles Airport near Washington DC. National and/or international travel may be required.



    Bachelor’s degree in marketing, design, communications or related fields. Master’s / MBA preferred.

    • Presentation skills: Creative and thoughtful with great powers of persuasion and presentation
    • Influencing Others: Ability to move others across organizational boundaries to a desired business outcome when there is no clear “ownership” of an issue.
    • Highly proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Preference to those who have a level of understanding about the airline industry, or have worked in matrixed technology or consulting environments
